This is really a fine local place to get Greek, made to order, semi-fast food. You order at a counter and they bring the freshly prepared food to your table. The salads are made of truly fresh vegetables and the gyro is definitely stuffed with meat. Their fried mushrooms and fried veggies are crunchy and fresh and make a great side dish. The black beans and rice are well-seasoned and also delicious as a side. I visited with some picky friends who ordered salad without cucumber, sandwiches without onions, and various customizations. We also added lemon garlic sauce, tangy green sauce, and extra taziki. They didn't mind although my cucumber-despising friend ended up with extra cucumbers which was kind of funny, and great for me since I ate them all.

I recently moved and decided to try out local Greek food. After this visit, this establishment was mostly meh. I understand that is a vague expression, but I shall explain. I'd give 3.5 for the steak and rice, but that's it. Upon arrival I walked into a quiet non descript establishment that was darker and dreary. I stepped to the counter and reviewed the menu that was an odd mix of American and Greek food. Wings or Gyro. Odd mix of food. It was $23.52 for a mix platter and gyro. After paying we went to our table passing the silverware stand that only held forks. Strolled past dirty tables to take a seat at a booth. Waited 10 min or so and our food came but missing my chop chop salad. The rice was savory and steak kabob was delicious. My salad came at the end of the meal and didn't even smell right. So, it was merely meh. Can't say I'd go back. Sad cause I do enjoy Greek.

LOVE THIS PLACE! This is the only location with "green sauce", which is a kind of cilantro yogurt magic. We usually get the kabobs with rice and chop salad. It's fresh and enough food to get you full, but not too full. We also get the pita and hummus, which is perfect. We've had the fried veggies as well, and those are done well. I think that we've had the chicken wings, but those aren't as wonderful as the kabobs. The seating is kind of odd because it's nothing but large booths. But there are TVs, which is nice since it takes a few minutes for the food to cook. The bathrooms are always pretty clean and the staff is pretty friendly.

I really love this place! I know it's not the most authentic Greek place in the area, and the fried veggies are always super greasy--but I LOVE them nonetheless! It's normally pretty fast considering most hot food is made to order, and I appreciate the vegetarian options. Their green dipping sauce for the fried veggies is delicious! The fried falafel is really great, and the greek salad is always fresh. I don't think I've ever had my order screwed up for takeout, and the staff has always been friendly. I'd recommend calling ahead for takeout so that you don't have to wait long!

This restaurant has been open for a few months now, I waited to try it until they had some time under their belt. I never go to a new restaurant until it has been open for a while. The building itself is nice, clean and brand new but really warm inside. It's Greek fast food that even has a drive through window. I like that touch. The food was pretty bad. I ordered the only thing remotely healthy on the menu, grilled seafood platter served with rice. Basically it was 1 shrimp skewer and 1 fish fillet. It was described as grilled and served with a tomato garlic sauce. It was not grilled per say, as in over fire but it was put on the flat top. Not a huge deal but when I see "grilled" I expect that "grilled" taste. The sauce was not a sauce at all, the fish was placed on top of huge pieces of nasty canned stewed tomatoes. The best part, it was not cooked all the way through. I bit into a shrimp and knew right away it was not done, then I cut into the fish and it was not done either. I sent it back and they nuked it and brought it back to me, no apologies or anything. The rice was weird, white rice with yellow and orange things in it and the texture was like glass shards. Totally inedible plate of food. My son ordered a Gyro and he said it was good. He's 17 so he wolfed it down before I had a chance to even look at it. This is the only reason they get two stars, he liked the Gyro and the fries, which were thick cut steak type of fries. I ordered a greek salad with Gyro meat for my husband who was working late. He said it was ok, not bad but but not great. They sliced the Gyro meat for that salad into tiny little strips which I thought was strange. He had to eat around the potato salad which was more like chunky mased potatoes with mayo. Gag. This cost me $31.00!! And I didn't even get kissed :(

Went to a business meeting with the big boss and his partner, they selected it, was pretty good and for the money not bad at all. Gyro was fresh and very hearty, boss was impressed as well. For the quick service and friendly staff, ample servings for the money it was also tasty and fresh. This establishment is very clean with a well organised staff that is on the ball. The business impressed my boss, which is very much a task at hand since he is very selective.

Probably the best " fast food" in st Pete. Although much slower than traditional fast food, I'm ok with that because the quality didn't disappoint. I ordered the falafel wrap and it was divine. Sauce, pickles, cucumbers all wrapped in a toasted thin pita wrap. Ill def be back.

High quality ingredients, but low on taste. Very bland. Good service though. The fried veggies are the standout for me. I would definitely do over fast food.

My fiancé and I went here for dinner a few nights ago. He got the chicken gyro and I got the falafel, both with fries. Service was fast and friendly. We also ordered a Greek salad. The potato salad part of it was very good, but overall the salad was lacking and didn't feel much like the great Greek salads I've had at other restaurants. The wraps/gyros we had were decent, although they tasted like they were siting under a heat lamp and the wraps themselves weren't very fresh. I wasn't a fan of the potato wedge fries on the side. The outside of then seemed overcooked and hardened as well as greasy, as if someone let them sit in the fryer for too long. I'm a huge fan of Greek food, but our recent trip didn't hit the spot. I think I will be continuing my search for the best Greek food in the area.

By far one of the best Greek restaurants I've ever been to. The food is absolutely amazing! I always go through drive through, but the staff I deal with are wonderful. I live in West Palm now, but I look forward to taking trips to my home townn, so I can grab food from here.

Consistent, huge portions, and priced just right. This place has quickly become a new favorite. In the past 2 weeks, I've been there 3 times and taken many others also. My go-to meal has been the Gyro and Greek Salad special that they have for $9.99 which are both HUGE portions. Easily enough for two....or two meals. I've yet to be able to finish this in a single sitting. The gyro (lamb) is seasoned perfectly, cooked wonderfully, and served lovingly under a nice layer of tza-ziki sauce...and over fresh cut tomato's and onions. The pita is warmed up also and doesn't fall apart even when overloaded. I let the extra meat fall out and add a bit to my salad. The salad comes with everything you'd expect a greek salad to come with: onions, olives, feta cheese, potato salad lump, and lettuce and a side of greek dressing. Everything on this has been super-fresh and the potato salad is quite good. Better than most I've had. I've also tried the beef kebab which you could tell was freshly cooked (took a bit longer and very tender). This may be my next go-to meal when I go next. Also, misleadingly, they show french fries on the menu, but they actually only have potato wedges. This, to me, is fine as you can tell these are freshly cut potatoes that are then baked and served. Perfect. The place is setup with an order counter where you're given a number and you put that on your table til your food is ready. You help yourself to a beverage and get your silverware (not plastic ware!). The best part about this place, besides the food, is that they also have a drive-thru window. Awesome. I hate reviewing a chain...but there's only 3 of them I think and they're that good.

My only complaint is that this place is not closer to my home or work. Possibly the best fast food you can get, certainly leaps and bounds above Little Greek or Papa Louie's. Given the option, I would still pick Byblos in Tampa as the best Mediterranean food south of Tarpon but I've never had a bad meal at Zekos. Perfectly cooked, flavorful chicken and beef kabobs, yummy gyros, smoky hummus, even the potato salad in the Greek salad is to my likeing (and Im picky bout my 'tater salad).

  • Capt G.

Pretty decent "fast food". I visit on a regular basis and my only wish is for new menu items. If you haven't been, try them instead of a burger or chick joint.

  • Rosin E.

Fresh food but very bland. The ingredients are of good quality but it has no taste. Was disappointed. Will not go there again. On the positive side the staff very nice and attentive. The place was clean and inviting.

I loved the hummus. I tried the lamb and it was very seasoned with a lot o meat. The inside was clean and I was impressed.

Honestly, this is probably some of the better "fast food" out there. I've had the Greek salad (yum), hummus (which is lacking the heavy amounts of garlic that you find sometimes), chicken and beef kabobs, shawerma, and the gyro. I would probably pass on the chicken kabobs because they were a little dry when I had them. Gyro (which I posted a pic of) was good, but there seems to be an excellent selection of those in Tampa Bay as it is. Shawerma was definitely a lighter option with the thinner pita. Also, the potato wedges are a hundred times better than generic fries. I've had different people take my order here and the dude from Jerusalem is probably my favorite one so far. It was slow so I could talk pita bread and baklava with him while making my order. The only reason I'm taking a star off is because of the specials. The board is in the corner, out of the direct line of sight. I only remember it's there once I've placed and paid for my order. Normally this wouldn't be -that- big of a deal, but I ended up ordering a gyro and a Greek salad separately when there was a combo (which saved a couple bucks) on the specials. The girl ringing me up didn't tell me about it (I think she might have gotten distracted trying to figure out if I was related to someone she knows), but a different employee who brought my food to me pointed out that I could have ordered the combo instead. C'mon guys! Find a way to make the specials a bit more visible! The dining area is nothing special. There are a few booths that can fit 4-6 people (depending how much personal space you want) and it's always been relatively clean when I've been in. I also tend to be there on off-hours, so I don't have to deal with the hassle of waiting too long for anything. So, nothing negative to comment on about that. One of these days I WILL try that baklava. I just need to remember not to stuff my face with lunch and save some room.

Saw the reviews and got excited because I really enjoy shawarma. When I got there, I went inside to eat. I began to order and they told me that because they closed in 45 minutes that food was only to-go and that I could not eat inside. I ordered anyway and are at the table outside. The chicken is dry and they don't put much on the shawarma. Their humus was the most bland humus ever. Not at all worth the price, the service was awful, and I didn't enjoy it. The rice pudding was also bland. never again...

  • Dani I.

You know I tried this place again because I was short on time and I was hungry for something quick and let's face it I'm lazy to drive far. But there is def something wrong with their gyro meat. It doesn't taste right nor does it sit well with me. I don't know if they have a lot of MSG in their food but everytime I have it...I have nightmares when I go to sleep that night. And get really thirsty. God I just realized this review is starting to sound pretty crazy.

We stopped here for a quick lunch which turned out to be not as quick as I hoped. My husband ordered the chicken schwarma wrap while I got the chicken kabob wrap. Both contained the same diced up, dry yellow chicken. The flavor was so bad that neither of us ate much. We definitely won't be back!

The best Gyro in town!!! The Black Beans & Rice / chicken kabob Rocks. Very Friendly Staff & always clean as well. They also have a drive thru.. Everything is cooked to order so no fast food here just darn good food!!

Great food, good prices, clean and beautiful inside- not what I expected from the drive through or outside. We will definitely be back.

Got the chicken soulvaki the chicken was very dry. My friend got the beef kabobs that were also very dry. The rice had no flavor and was over cooked. We also got wings that looked really good but again had no flavor. I wouldnt go back

  • Rene O.

My sister in and I went there and I have to say it was a little disappointing. The customer service was poor. We had to wait 10 minutes for our food and it wasn't even warm. I didn't even want to take it back for them to warm it up because it didn't even taste right and that should have given me a clue that something was wrong. By the time we got to my house after shopping for the holidays everything went downhill from there and fast!!!!! We both ended up with food poisoning!!!! Turns out the yogurt for the sauce had some how spoiled!! My poor sister in law is pregnant and I can only hope she is doing ok right now but I will not be going back! It could have been just a fluke day or timing but be warned.

Fast Mediterranean food, I'll take it! It's conveniently located and easy to get in and out. My friend Liz and I decided to go for lunch and grab it to go. It was around 2:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy so we were able to order right away. The young man behind the counter greeted us with a smile. We both ordered the special where you get either Gyro or Chicken Souvlaki sandwich with a Greek salad. Liz got the gyro and I opted for the chicken. Both sandwiches were made to order so they were hot and fresh. The salad was also made fresh. We both enjoyed our meals. My only complaint would be that I thought the potato salad was a little bland. Liz said it was fine. My favorite part of the meal was my pita from my sandwich it was not greasy and it was so good. I would definitely return and try something new!

So I've gave this place a second chance and it's a different experience when I dined in. Great fun good sevice! I would definitely recommend this place for good greek food.

This place is the definition of just OK. I have nothing really bad to say about it or good. I don't think I'll be back again though.

  • Nick E.

I would say Zeko's has some of the best Mediterranean food for a small restaurant. The gyro is one of the best and the fried veggies and mushrooms are incredible with they're sauce. The price seems to have gone up since it's open and that would probably be my biggest complaint, but the food I'd check out if your into awesome food. I will continue to go.

  • Kheila L.

It took me over a year to try this place. I'm sorry I waited! So yummy. It tastes authentic. Very comparable to the Greek Restaurants on the sponge docks. The only downside is that their drive thru is slow...make sure you have at least 15 minutes. The food is always fresh!

    (5)
  • Crystal S.

Likes: *The fried veggies and sauce are pretty good, although the batter on the broccoli pieces wasn't all fried. *The salad didn't really seem like a Greek salad, but the ingredients were fresh and it was a decent salad. *The tzatziki sauce was good. Dislike: *The gyro meat. seemed very processed. It was rubbery and the taste was lacking.

    (3)
  • Tracy R.

The food here is always very good. I got chicken kabobs and rice with tzaziki sauce. I've been coming here for the last 4 years and it's always been consistent.

Gyro is a good choice. Burgers are pretty good. Order wings last time I was there... very good, but over priced. Wings are TINY.

    (4)
  • Mark B.

Very disappointed. ...the last 3 times I have been there it has progressively gone downhill. The gyros were very salty. The wings had a very odd flavor. I'm just hoping that they can get back on track.

This was our family's first visit. The food was fresh and the staff was nicer than your average fast food place. My kids enjoyed their fish w/rice and chicken strips very much. Hubby and I had gyros with fries and falafel. Everything was delicious and the portions so big we couldn't finish. Good eats on a budget!

    (4)
  • K T.

kinda like fast food but not really fast food. All in all, i liked it. I had the falafel sandwich and tempura veggies. The sandwich was god but the veggies was very greasy.

    (3)
  • Liz R.

I've come to Zeko's a few times now and each time wonder why I don't come back more often. The food is consistent, it's fresh, it's tasty and the portions are huge. It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it's spacious and bright. The place is family owned and after talking to one of the owners its clear they're passionate about their business and turning out quality food to keep customers coming back. I, for one, will definitely be back again.

Let me preface this by saying that we visited Zekos a few years ago shortly after they opened, and we were overwhelmingly underwhelmed. I'm not sure exactly what it was, but the food was... boring? Bland? I'm not really sure. And I'm a Greek food LOVER, usually I'm pretty happy with ANYTHING relating to anything even remotely close to similar to Greek food, and we never went back. Until, that is, today. After becoming Vegetarian, we've struggled to find places that we can both eat and both really enjoy. After reading some reviews here, I decided we would give it a whirl once again, and boy are we glad we did! I got the falafel sandwich, which was absolutely amazing. I left STUFFED and CRAVING it again. I pouted when there was no Zekos Falafel sandwich on my dinner plate. The falafel is green because it's loaded with parsley, and it's wrapped in a thin version of their pita which is topped with a Tahini sauce, cucumbers, pickles, and tomatoes. It was absolutely fan-freaking-tastic. My husband, who is not a vegetarian, nommed down on their traditional gyro. He said the meat was significantly improved, but tasted my falafel "sandwich" and said he'd get that next time because it was so delicious. I got fried veggies. While they did taste great, I could only make it through two pieces because of the grease. The potato wedges are da bomb. Yes, I said da bomb. Don't judge me. Other Veggie options: Eggplan Sandwich, Grilled Veggie Sandwich, Taboli Salad, and Fatoosh Salad.

I wish this place had been open when I lived in St. Pete...I would have been a regular! As it is, if you're local and don't go here with any regularity, you're missing out. Went there for lunch on July 4. Place wasn't crowded--guess a lot of folks were grilling at home. ;) That's okay--more for us! The four of us got a variety of things--lamb gyro, grilled fish and rice, chicken kabobs, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, and a falafel sandwich. All made fresh. Hot and tasty. Lots of food--and none of it was left at the end! The service is counter, but they bring the food out to you, so it's skirting the border between casual and fast food. Regardless, the food is the important thing, and it was very good. I would definitely go back to this place next time I'm in St. Pete.

  • Jimmy F.

Love this place. Great food! Especially their fried veggies. But they lose a star because the last two times they've been out of them. And that was the whole reason I went. I may have to stop in a little earlier next time.

Zeko's is Greek food at an upscale fast food place. I have been there about 12 times over the last three years -- it would be more of it were more convenient. There's a drive through, but I prefer to go in. Good gyros - the key is the sauce, and theirs is good. I really enjoy the batter-dipped fried veggies. I recently went on a low carb diet. Last night I had the "mixed grill," which is a skewer of grilled chicken and a skewer of grilled beef. They were nice enough to substitute extra "chop chop" salad (diced tomatoes and cucumbers, a little onion and herbs) for the rice. The chicken was decent, but the beef was excellent and very tender. My son had a gyro and potato wedge fries, which he was very happy with. The service was friendly but not especially fast -- but that was OK because the food was good.

  • Noor M.

The food is excellent but I was very disappointed to find out that they only have a partial halal menu, rather than a full halal menu like I was told. Someone on that staff is either shady or misinformed, and I would advise management to get that sorted out.

OMG! That's "Oh My Gyro". We drove through and ordered a gyro with fries, a falafel with fries and an order of stuffed grape leaves. I timed it because I read that the drive through was slow. There were 3 cars ahead of us and it took a total of 8 minutes from 'Hello' to 'Thank you'. In my opinion that isn't slow for hand made good food. No, it isn't McDonalds fast, but it also isn't mass produced crap full of fillers. The gyro was good. It is the standard ground lamb tube they shave bits from. The falafel was outrageous! It was so big I had to save some for later. The home fries are superb. Hot, well seasoned and not at all greasy. The grape leaves were decent. Honestly they tasted like the canned variety but they were a little looser and obviously didn't come directly from the can. All this, and the total was less than $17! They will certainly have my business again.

Have been here a few times now - was travelling up to Ruth Eckerd for a show with my wife and needed a quick tasty meal. She had the chicken gyro with greek salad and I had the gyro and fries. Big portions, very tasty, reasonable cost. Salad was enough to share, same with the large fries. Friendly staff. Sometimes you worry about eating this type of food before a show - everything was obviously fresh. It was so good, I even stopped by today for another gyro!

OK,time for me to chime in here.Zekos has the BEST Gyros, hands down. We go there a few times a month,I always get the Gyro and fries combo, very reasonably priced, and they don't skimp on portions either.Sometime,I order the fried mushrooms, they are crisp outside, and juicy inside, delicious! My wife has ordered the fish sandwich, she said it was good,it was a breaded fried filet of good size. The only thing I tried there that I did not care for was the Greek potato salad, which was more like mashed potatoes. Overall, this is good food, and you get alot of it for the money.Fast food yes,but so much better than the burger chains. We have never dined in at Zekos, but the place looks clean,so no issues there. One last thing.I agree with the reviewer that said it takes longer to get your food, but you can call ahead and order by phone, and then come in and pick it up.

I'm not a meat eater, and my dining partner eats fish so we have smaller menu to choose from than others, but that being said, Zeko's does a couple things well and the items that aren't done well are really not worth the visit. Sometimes we've had some great service behind the counter while others, the staff is amataur and unenthused and it shows. The best thing that we enjoyed at Zeko's is their falafel. It's crispy and flavorful; an authentic recipe. The accompanying tahini sauce, however is bland and underseasoned. I still can't get over how they charge almost $9 for a simple fatoush salad which consists of giant pieces of romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, chopped raw garlic and deep fried pita pieces. It just baffles my mind. Yes, it's a large salad, but $9 for a salad that could scare off a vampire and give me TMJ, is laughable. Do not get the fried vegetable pieces unless you like your fried veggies to ooze out a pool of oil. The fries are a better option for something like that. They did have a nice harissa/hot sauce on hand that went well with the fried fish my dining partner ordered. He said the fish was really bland and "wet" and needed some sauces make it palatable. We've visited this location a few times since it opened. Our family is from the middle east, so we know what good ME food is like and this place was disappointing to say the least. It has a lot of potential but I don't think we'll be going back to find out if it improves.

Cheap quality lunch. I'm not a big Greek food guy, so I'm going to give it the 4th star instead of 3. It wasn't the best lunch I've had this week - far from the worst. But for $6 I left full. I like the interior. Nice, clean, comfortable. Upscale fast food basically. Great customer service.

this WAS a good place for us to go to for years. the food is decent and fast but the service is HORRIBLE. we had been coming here for years until the "manager" at the drive-thru window charged us triple for an item. when we pointed it out to her, instead of fixing it then, she blew us off, saying there's not a button in the computer for it and that was the only way she could ring it up.....which was triple the advertised price. i was still angry about this after i took the food home and ate it, so i called and asked to speak with the manager. turns out the "manager" was the girl at the window. if she was the manager, why couldn't she fix it then? she argued with me, was very rude, patronizing me, because it was only a few dollars. but it was the principle. i didn't want to drive down there for a refund as the place is not close and it was late, all i wanted was a credit for next time. she said she would call the owner and call me back with a resolve. i thought this would be simple, next time i come in i get a credit, or something free.....right? nope. even if we had gotten a credit, we probably would have only returned one more time to use the credit because of how this "manager" talked to me. i really do hope that girl was not really the manager because i'm not sure how she can run a place let alone manage anyone. either way, they either have a horrible manager or they lie to people. after the way we were treated, we are never going back there again. update: never got a call from the owner... big surprise!

    I. am obsessed with Zeko's. Obsessed, I tell you. I'm rarely ever in the area (once a year, in fact) but I do what I can to get here when I come. I hate falafel. Hate it. Dry, garlicky crap that's the worst excuse for vegetarian food ever. Zeko's, you've shown me the light. This is the best falafel I've ever had! I ordered it years ago under duress one late night when Zeko's was the only thing open and I've had one every year since. It's beautiful and moist, not too garlicky and it has pickles! Pickles, who knew that was the secret to a perfect falafel? I like Zeko's babaganoush but it's not the best I've ever had. You cannot have a meal here without having the fried vegetables. Best. Alternative. To french fries EVER. MMMM tasty. I've never been in the restaurant, always gotten drive through and I'm really impressed with how quickly they can get hand made food out to you. It's not fast food chain fast, but it's faster than you'd expect.

Wastes money, eat at McDonalds, Portions were tiny order was wrong had to get sent back some food fell on floor as it was being brought out perhaps that was why the portions were small took perhaps 15min to have food brought out 1 person at a time the salad was a bowl full of lettuce for 6 dollars. We will not go there again! Did i mention portions were tiny.

The Gyro was very sallty, the available tables were dirty. I thought it was bit too expensive for that level of place. Plates should come wiith options instead of just fries, fries aren't mediteranean or are they?

Look like a nice fast food place but once the ordering is complete, it changes into a nice little restaurant with very tasty food. Gyro and fried (looked like roasted) potatoes, and chicken shish ke bab were all very good.

Don't let the fast food-type establishment fool you. Their food here is delicious and their portions are quite generous. I ordered, and highly recommend, the gyro sandwich. I made the mistake of ordering fries with the sandwich and ended up barely touching them as the sandwich proved to be more than a complete meal by itself. My girlfriend also ordered the gyro sandwhich along with a side of rice (not on the menu) which ended up being an entire plate of seasoned perfection that should have been shared between the two of us. The person who took our order was pretty cool too. Didn't catch his name, but he seemed like either the owner or the manager. They were extremely busy during our visit, so I cannot speak to the promptness of service. Although, everything that arrived with our order was accurate and for the most part brought out in a timely manner. All in all, this place is a MUST visit if you're in the Tampa Bay Area (Directly across Busch Gardens) and in the mood for authentic Mediterranean food.

The $4.99 fish sandwich and fries are good, just a little too much food for me.

I have been there a couple of times. The gyros are really good. The service is fast, reminds me of Greek fastfood resturant, just the food doesn't suck.

I met a girl there for kisses. We sat in the booth in the back during lunch and made out. The staff looked friendly but didn't bother us at all. Clean and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended for a quick kissing session. Not sure about the food but other people looked liked they enjoyed it. The booths are perfect height to hide behind while kissing. If the music had been better I would have given it 5 stars for a perfect p,ace to make out. Enjoy!!!

Awesome food. Large portions. We are from out of town and visiting Busch Gardens which is across the steet. We decided to try this place based on a few Yelp reviews. I had the gyros sandwich and rice as a side order. The gyro was huge. Definitley enough for two people. The rice was seasoned to perfection. The garlic cucumber sauce they put on the gyro really completed the gyro. The place is a hit in the neighborhood. They small resturant was extremley busy with a lot of regulars. The owner (I think) was very personably and knew a lot of his customers by name. Def a must try!

It'll do in a pinch. Zeko's is the Pollo Tropical of Greek food. Go to Athenian Gardens on MLK or 22nd Av N if you want a good Greek meal.

Wife gives 2 stars I give it 2 stars also. But here is my problem. Ordered a #2 and a #13. Got two #13. He must of thought I said two thirteens but I clearly said a number 2 and a number 13. My wife stated I said that clearly. When I brought this matter to the person I ordered from, he argued with me, and stated: no you said two thirteens. Most any restaurant I have ever been too would of brought me the item I ordered but he did not offer to do so. I did not fuss as I am not one to do so. Food seems good. Just be carefull they get your order straight.

Okay, first off, some of the best falafel I've ever had. And after talking to the owner, I understand why--he has a passion for making the best falafel. They are so moist and green with fresh parsley inside. Zeko's fills a niche that has been sorely lacking in St. Pete for some time--a good, cheap middle eastern place to go to for hummus, gyros, shawarma, babaganoush, shish kebabs, etc. My husband and I went again last night. We split a chicken shawarma sandwich and several side dishes including tabouleh, hummus and pita, and the amazing falafels. I am surprised another reviewer menitoned the lack of healthy dishes, because I think this food is a great healthier alternative to fast food. I would say everything we had was fresh and healthy, except for the deep fried falafel which was simply ...worth it. Still, though, not greasy at all. The whole shebang was about 16 bucks, we were completely satisfied, and it's counter service so no tip to worry about. They have a very convenient drive thru and a great family meal deal of shish kebobs. The other reviewer, Melissa A. seems to have had a bad experience, but our 2 visits were great. We are really glad to have this place in town and plan to keep going back. Love the food!
